Ayden Court Petition and Vote on June 20th
I was sent this link by someone in Downing Creek. The website is opposed to the proposed Ayden Court development across from us on Hwy 54 next to the waterfowl impoundment. Information regarding the upcoming vote and a link to a petition opposing the development are included. The DCCA Board has not taken an official stand on this because it seems outside of our mission to care for the neighborhood and preserve property values. However, I believe many of us are personally opposed to the project, even though I realize that not everyone is. The vote on this is scheduled for the Chapel Hill Town Council Meeting on June 20th at 7pm.
So, if this is a project which causes you concern, you may wish to visit the "Neighborhoods for Responsible Growth" website to view the petition or comments. (Or jump directly to the petition here: http://www.gopetition.com/petitions/save-a-natural-heritage-area.html )
Regardless of your opinion of the proposal, more information about the request is available.
I've extracted the site layout sketch and area map from her site plan and uploaded to our web server here for the quickest overview of the proposal.

Lots more information can be found on Chapel Hill's website by following the Ayden Court links found on these two agendas:

Of the documents associated with these meetings, the applicant's request is probably the easiest starting point.
That can be found in this rather large pdf file.
